An Open Door
We have been given the opportunity to purchase the building we are renting for the church. We are currently renting a former café space, but that café is attached to an apartment complex with 12 units. We have been presented with the opportunity to purchase the entire building, apartments included. This would increase the size of the church building by over 3 times what we are currently renting.

The building does not make the church, but thinking about the future of the church here in Aomori, owning a building would play a major role in helping the church grow and become autonomous. Our current auditorium space is regularly at capacity on Sunday morning, and this building would allow us to expand the auditorium as we grow. It would allow us to have classrooms for teaching, a parsonage for a Japanese pastor in the future, and an activity center for after-school outreaches.

We have been overwhelmed with God’s provision. To date, a total of $335,000 has already been promised or raised! We are praising God for His goodness!
This means that we would only need to raise an additional $75,000 to own the building free and clear as well as get the needed repairs done.
